Eramet’s Grande Côte Operation completes first IRMA audit in Senegal
SCS Global Services recognizes Eramet's Grande Côte mineral sands operation for completing an IRMA audit, marking the first time a mine in Senegal has undergone an independent assessment against the IRMA Standard for Responsible Mining.
Through this assessment, SCS verified an IRMA 50 achievement, confirming that the operation substantially or fully met all 40 critical requirements of the Standard and achieved at least 50% across its four principle areas: social responsibility, environmental responsibility, business integrity, and planning for positive legacies.
The public release of the audit report supports transparency and ongoing improvement in responsible mining practices. Read the full accounting from IRMA here.
